Challenge

Sand extraction cranes operate continuously under harsh conditions such as moisture, contamination, and constant movement. For VTS Technical Group , it was essential that the crane's cable routing continued to function reliably. Inadequate protection or routing of cables can lead to wear, malfunctions, and reduced operational reliability of the control system.

Approach

For this application, Wisman Techniek cable carrier a robust cable carrier from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp GmbH. The cable carrier specifically selected to move safely with the crane movements and to provide optimum protection for the cables. By ensuring the right fit for the crane construction and working conditions, a durable and reliable solution has been achieved.

Result

Thanks to the new cable carrier , the cables move in a controlled and safe manner with the sand extraction crane. This increases the reliability of the control system, reduces wear and tear, and limits the risk of unplanned downtime. The installation contributes to a longer service life for both the cables and the crane and supports safe and efficient operation under harsh conditions.
