Specially designed cable carriers were installed at the bridge heads of the new railway bridge in Utrecht to facilitate the alignment of the bridge on both sides.

Specially designed cable carriers were installed on both sides of the bridge heads of the new railway bridge in Utrecht to facilitate the alignment of the bridge. During installation, the cables were already mounted and connected, so the Cable Carriers had to be built around the cables on site. Besides accommodating length differences in the bridge due to expansion, the Cable Carriers also bridge the difference in height between the bridge and the cable ducts in the ground. In the Cable Carrier, two totally separate compartments were created for data and electrical cables
