Challenge

At ECT Euromax in Rotterdam, container cranes are used intensively under harsh conditions, such as high loads, long travel distances, and continuous movements. This requires extremely reliable cable track systems. Outdated or insufficiently robust solutions increase the risk of wear, malfunctions, and unplanned downtime, which has a direct impact on the continuity of terminal operations.

Approach

For this project, a TKHP heavy-duty cable carrier from Tsubaki Kabelschlepp GmbH. This cable carrier specially designed for extreme industrial applications, such as container cranes in seaports. The installation was carried out with care, with a view to minimizing disruption to operational processes. Thanks to thorough preparation and close coordination with all parties involved, the system was put into operation efficiently and without any problems.

The installedcable carrier maximum reliability at high speeds and long travel distances. This results in a significant reduction in maintenance requirements and the risk of unplanned downtime.
