Privacy statement

Who we are

Ernst Technische Handelsonderneming B.V., trading as Wisman Techniek (hereinafter: “Wisman”), is a wholesaler and assembly company in cable management, located at De Vente 10, 7261 ST Ruurlo. What data do we process

We only process data that you provide to us yourself or that arises from the use of our services:

• Name, company name and job title;
• business email address and phone number;
• address details for invoicing and delivery;
• content of your request, such as application, travel length, speed and cable package;
• uploaded attachments, such as drawings or photos of your application;
• correspondence by email, telephone or WhatsApp;
• data about your visit to this website: pages visited, time spent, tools used and the network you visit the site from (see “Website visits and company recognition”).

What we use your details for

• Answering your question or preparing a quote;
• preparing technical advice or a cable carrier configuration;
• concluding and performing agreements, including assembly, delivery and service;
• invoicing and debtor management;
• complying with legal obligations, such as tax retention requirements;
• analysing and improving our website (only with your consent).

Website visits and company recognition

We want to know which companies visit our website and what they are interested in, so that we can follow up business contacts in a targeted way. To do this, we record which pages are viewed, for how long, which tools are used and through which source you arrived. From the IP address we derive which network the visit belongs to and, if that network belongs to a company, which company that is. For this we use public registers (such as the RIPE database and DNS) and that company's public website.

We do not store the full IP address: we only store the network (the first three parts of the address) and an encrypted code that changes every day. We do not place cookies for this. Visits from a home or mobile connection are not recognised as a company.

If you have filled in a form on our website yourself, we link your later visits to that request, so our specialist knows what you looked at. This is done via the visitor number in your browser (see the cookie statement). If you delete that number, the link stops.

The website adapts to the topic you are looking at: based on the pages viewed, your search terms and the keyword of an advertisement, it shows suitable buttons, suggestions and sometimes one offer. This happens in your own browser and contains only points per topic. Across multiple visits only if you allow marketing cookies. Some visitors get no adjustments, so we can measure whether it helps; the topic and group are sent along with the visit data above.

If you ask the chat assistant on the website a question, we store that question without your name, IP address or visitor number; email addresses and phone numbers are removed automatically. This shows us which topics are still missing from the website.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in business acquisition and improving our services. You can object to this via verkoop@wisman-techniek.nl; we will then delete the visit data linked to you or your company.

Legal bases

We process personal data on the basis of: the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (your request), a legal obligation (for example tax retention periods), a legitimate interest (following up business contacts, recognising visiting companies and improving our services) and, for analytical and marketing cookies, your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.

Retention periods

• Requests and quotes without an order: a maximum of 2 years after last contact;
• customer, contract and invoice data: 7 years after the agreement ends (tax retention requirement);
• correspondence about current projects: for the duration plus 2 years;
• pages visited and tools used: up to 13 months;
• analytical data about website visits: maximum 14 months.

Sharing with third parties

We never sell your data to third parties. We only share data when necessary for our services, for example with carriers for delivery of your order, with our accountant for the financial administration and with suppliers such as Tsubaki Kabelschlepp when your technical question requires their expertise. We conclude data processing agreements with parties that process personal data for us.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss or unlawful processing. Our website uses a secure connection (TLS) and access to systems containing personal data is limited to staff who need this data for their work.

Your permissions

You have the right to:

• request access to the personal data we process about you;
• have incorrect or incomplete data corrected;
• have your data deleted, unless we are legally required to retain it;
• to have processing restricted or to object to processing;
• receive your data in a common format (data portability);
• to withdraw consent given earlier.

Send your request to verkoop@wisman-techniek.nl. We respond within four weeks. To be sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to identify yourself.

Complaints and the Dutch Data Protection Authority

Do you have a complaint about how we handle your data? Please contact us first at verkoop@wisman-techniek.nl or +31 88 002 3500. We would be glad to resolve it together. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Changes to this statement

We may amend this privacy statement, for example due to new legislation or changes in our services. The most recent version is always on this page, with the date of the last change.
