What is a cable carrier?

A chain of links that safely carries cables and hoses along with a moving machine part. Stroke after stroke, for years.

Where are cable carriers used?

Wherever cables and hoses move with a machine: in mechanical engineering, on CNC machining centres, in robotics, on cranes and in production lines. The energy chain (also called drag chain or cable chain) keeps everything organised and protected, stroke after stroke.

Plastic or steel?

Plastic cable carriers are light, quiet and corrosion-free, which makes them the first choice for most machines. Steel cable carriers only come into play for heavy loads, long self-supporting lengths or extreme environments such as blast furnace and offshore applications.

Open or closed?

An open drag chain is easy to fill and inspect. If you work with swarf, dust or dirt, an enclosed cable chain fully protects the package: the cables stay clean and last longer.

From short strokes to hundreds of metres

From a Z axis of half a metre to travel lengths of hundreds of metres on gantry cranes: there is a set-up for every stroke length. Self-supporting, gliding or with guide channels. We calculate it for you.
