Compact plastic cable carriers for the ergonomic workstations of Brand Control Rooms

When fitting out modern control rooms and operations centres, everything revolves around ergonomics and reliability. Brand Control Rooms develops high-quality workstations that are often fully adjustable in height and depth. For the technician or operator, this means the cabling for monitors, communication equipment and power supply is constantly moving. The challenge was to find a system that absorbs these movements effortlessly without cables kinking, getting tangled or wearing through friction. In addition, the components had to be compact enough to be concealed in the furniture, matching the clean aesthetics of a professional control room.

As exclusive partner of Tsubaki Kabelschlepp, we at Wisman Techniek have access to a wide range of specialised solutions. For this project, we chose specific plastic cable carriers from the lighter series. These carriers are designed for high dynamics in tight spaces. Our role started with engineering; together with the customer, we looked at the minimum bending radius of the data and power cables used to determine the ideal carrier size. By choosing a chain system with an 'easy-opening' mechanism, the customer can add or replace cables very quickly during assembly or later maintenance. This type of cable carrier not only provides physical protection, but also ensures organised guidance that prevents failures due to cable breakage.

The result is a series of workstations in which cable management has become an integral part of the design. The cables are now guided safely and silently, regardless of the position of the desk. Thanks to our advice and custom solutions, Brand Control Rooms has a solution that will last for years without maintenance. End users in the control rooms benefit from a tidy, safe workstation without dangling cables.
