Strain relief. No pull on the connection.

A cable that hangs on its clamp will come loose sooner or later. Strain relief modules and cable combs fix cables before they reach the terminal, arrange them neatly in the cabinet and help you comply with EN 62444.

Strain relief

Standard
Strain relief to EN 62444
Material
PA66
Version
Modules and cable combs in several lengths
Mounting
With brass or aluminium bushes too

The AP modules and cable combs are mounted in the cabinet or panel. Cables are laid in the comb and secured with cable ties. This way pull and vibration are absorbed by the module and not by the terminal strip.

There are versions in different lengths, wireless modules (AP-DP) and cable combs with brass or aluminium bushes for a firm fixing. The material is PA66.

When

When do you choose strain relief?

01Cables come from below or above
The weight and pull of the cable must not rest on the clamps.
02Vibrating machines
Secured cables do not chafe and do not vibrate loose.
03Order in the cabinet
Cables neatly side by side per group: faster fault finding, easier extension.
04Standards
Demonstrably meets the strain relief requirements of EN 62444.

  1. 01Count the cables per row

The number and diameter determine the length of the module or comb.

Standard module, wireless AP-DP or a comb with brass or aluminium bushes.

  3. 03Combine with EMC

Shielded cables? Combine strain relief with an EMC clamp for the shielding.
