Why is strain relief needed?

Without strain relief, tension, weight and vibration from the cable go straight onto the connection. This leads to loose connections and faults.

What does EN 62444 say?

EN 62444 sets requirements for cable entry and strain relief of cables in electrical installations. The AP modules and cable combs help you comply.

What is the difference between brass and aluminium bushes?

Both give a firm mounting of the crossbar. The choice depends on the application and the desired version; we are happy to advise.

Can I combine strain relief and EMC?

Yes. Many EMC clamps also provide strain relief themselves via cable ties. For order in the cabinet, combine them with modules or cable combs.

Which strain relief fits on a DIN rail?

The Icotek KZL and SF/ZL snap onto a 35 mm DIN rail; the KZL also fits a C-rail. For 30 mm C-rail there are also the CCL cable clamps.

Which strain relief does Wisman supply?

From Icotek the ZL, KZL, SF/ZL, MSMC, CCL and DH spacer bushes, and from Detas Ultra the AP modules and cable combs.
