Brush seal.Neat and dust-resistant, without fuss.

Not every entry has to be watertight. In cabinets and cable trays indoors, a brush entry is often the smartest choice: cables pass through with or without a connector, the opening stays neat and dust is largely kept out.

Halogen-free

A brush seal consists of a frame with one or two rows of brushes. Cables are routed through it and can easily be added or removed later, without dismantling anything.

With a double brush (ZZ), dust protection is better and the mechanical seal firmer than with a single row (Z). There are rectangular frames for a cut-out and round, split versions for metric holes. The material is halogen-free.

When

When do you choose a brush seal?

01Indoors, dry environment
No requirement for watertightness or IP rating, but for a neat, dust-resistant opening.
02Cables are changed often
Add or remove cables without dismantling: push through and done.
03Connectors of varying size
The brushes close around almost any shape, even large plugs.
04Cable trays and server cabinets
Finishing of entries in floor, trough or cabinet wall.

  1. 01Is watertightness required?

Yes: choose a frame or entry plate. No: a brush is faster and more flexible.

  2. 02Single or double

Double brush for more dust protection and a firmer closure.

  3. 03Rectangular or round

A cut-out calls for a DES Z/ZZ frame, a metric hole for a DESCLICK Z or DESPRED ZZ.

  4. 04Size of the opening

The maximum opening per model is given in the table, from 40 × 18 to 112 × 39 mm.
