Servo cable and motor cable for the cable carrier
Power and feedback,shielded in motion.
A moving servo motor needs power and feedback: two cables, or one hybrid. In the cable carrier they must bend millions of times without the shield failing.

A servo cable carries power from the drive to the motor. Feedback from the encoder or resolver runs via a separate data cable, or within a hybrid system cable. If the motor moves with the machine, those cables run through the cable carrier.
In TRAXLINE you find power supply among the power cables: POWER is multi-core, POWER ONE is single-core for large cross-sections. Both come unshielded and shielded; the C in the name stands for the shielded version. Feedback is among the data cables with twisted pairs (TPi), single or double shielded.
If you want fewer cables in the carrier, the hybrid system cables SYSTEM S and SYSTEM M combine power and signal in one shielded jacket. They are specified up to 5 million movement cycles and 50 m travel. If you need more, choose separate cables from class 700 or 1000.
On a frequency or servo drive, shielding is a requirement: the motor cable emits interference and the encoder cable is sensitive to it. Connect the shield over the full circumference and separate power and signal in the cable carrier with a separator.

Choose
How to choose the servo cable
01Cores and cross-section
Choose the cross-section by current and length. G in the designation means with a green-yellow protective conductor: 4G1.5 is four cores of 1.5 mm² with earth.
02Shielded or not
On a frequency or servo drive always shielded: the C version or a hybrid system cable.
03Class by cycles and travel
POWER 400 goes up to 4 million cycles and 100 m, 700 up to 7 million and 500 m, 1000 up to 10 million and 1000 m.
04Sheath
PVC in class 400, PUR in 700, TPE in 1000. With oil, coolant or heavy wear, PUR or TPE.
05Outer diameter
The inner height of the cable carrier is at least the diameter × 1.1. The radius is at least 7.5 × the diameter of the thickest cable.
06Layout
Power and signal separated by a separator, not crossed and with space around each cable.
